The Swiss Cheeseboard DIY kit from Keebwerk (sometimes called "Swiss | Cheeseboard") is an exceptional keyboard kit featuring a distinctive "cheese-hole" design in its housing. It's aimed at enthusiasts who want to create a fully customizable mechanical keyboard – switches, keycaps, and stabilizers are not included, allowing you to build your setup from scratch.

Technical specifications

  • Case material: CNC-milled aluminum (6061) with elaborate hole structure ("cheese holes")

  • Mounting type: Top mount with gaskets (“bottom case isolation with Poron gaskets”)

  • Plate: Choice between 1.5 mm POM plate or brass plate – depending on the variant

  • PCB: Hot-swap PCB – allows switches to be replaced without soldering
