Der Keygeek Y3X Switch ist ein mechanischer Linear-Switch, der von MZ Studio entwickelt und von Keygeek produziert wurde. Er wurde speziell für ein ausgewogenes Klangprofil entwickelt, das sowohl „thocky“ als auch leicht „poppy“ wirkt. Ein besonderes Merkmal ist die sphärische Stem-Spitze, die mit einem ebenfalls sphärischen Kontaktpunkt im Bottom-Housing zusammenarbeitet. Dadurch entsteht ein weicherer Bottom-Out-Kontakt und ein lebendigeres Klangprofil im Vergleich zu klassischen linearen Switches. Der Switch ist werkseitig geschmiert und liefert dadurch ein sehr gleichmäßiges Tippgefühl direkt nach dem Einbau.
